L'église Saint Marcellin de Névache est passionnante ; passionnante par son esthétique et son clocher romano-lombard, passionnante par ses fresques splendides, passionnante par son commanditaire qui n'était que Charles VIII° qui en fit vœu après avoir été à Embrun en pèlerinage. Nous étions alors à la fin du XV° siècle.

Le Monument aux Morts de Névache est noyé de verdure au cœur du chef-lieu. Un poilu, enserrant le drapeau du bras gauche, serre le poing de la main droite dans un geste de volonté. Il se tient debout, le regard vers le ciel dans ce sacrifice suprême qu'il est prêt à assumer. Un monument, à notre connaissance, unique par son épitaphe.
