Visitant Rocamadour, vous découvrez un Haut-Lieu et Majestueux de Spiritualité Chrétienne.

Plus qu'une simple poésie, nous avons souhaité vous partager ces deux invocations au Saint-Esprit ; elles datent des années 1830 et sont témoignages de grande Foi.

Il existe de multiples invocations et prières, dans multiples langues et idiomes ; nous avons ici fait choix du Français plutôt que de l'Occitant, langue naturelle du pays.

Nous espérons que ces deux invocations vous accompagneront lors de votre visite et cheminement spirituel en ces lieux sacrés.

Ô Saint-Esprit, donnez-nous vos lumières ;
Venez en nous pour nous embraser tous,
Pour nous guider et former nos prières:
Nous ne pouvons faire aucun bien sans vous.

Priez pour nous, sainte Vierge Marie ;
Obtenez-nous grâce auprès du Sauveur,
Pour écouler ses paroles de vie,
Et les garder, comme vous, dans nos coeurs.

Toi dont la divine flamme
Triomphe de lous les coeurs,
Esprit-Saint, viens dans mon âme,
Viens lancer tes traits vainqueurs :
Viens renouveler la terre,
Hâte-toi, du haut des Cieux
Descends, souffle salutaire,
Unique objet de mes voeux.

Feu sacré, présent céleste,
Brille aux yeux de l'Univers ;
Dissipe la nuit funeste
Dont nous couvrent les enfers,

Ah ! sauve-nous du naufrage,
Toi dont l'essence est l'amour ;
Après un si long orage,
Fais luire enfin un beau jour.
