⌘ Renaudin Alfred : Le percement de l'avenue Junot, à Montmartre

  ⤇  Alfred Renaudin est un peintre lorrain né le 3 juin 1866 à La Neuveville-lès-Raon et mort le 7 novembre 1944 à Fontannes. La guerre de 187O voit sa famille migrer à Croismare et 1881 en fait un apprenti-céramiste à Lunéville.

Lorrain, il fait l'école des Beaux-Arts de Nancy puis migre à Paris pour étudier avec Henri Harpignies, peintre paysagiste, aquarelliste et graveur de l'École de Barbizon. Il fera périple africain, puis séjournera en Espagne, Égypte, Écosse, Angleterre et Pays-Bas. Marié en 1901, il s'installe à Nancy, rue Pasteur, et peint les campagnes de Lorraine puis, ayant quitté Nancy pour Fontannes et après le premier conflit mondial, rentré à Nancy, il y peint les désolations de la guerre 1914-1918 ; sa célébrité est alors grande.

1934 le voit décoré de la Légion d'Honneur au titre de Chevalier. Ses ateliers détruits en 1940, il retourne travailler à Fontannes, ville où il meurt le 7 novembre 1944.
