Hommes ! pourquoi marcher isolés dans la vie,
Et, sans jamais songer à devenir meilleurs,
Riches, toujours du pauvre oublier les douleurs,
Pauvres, toujours montrer au riche un œil d’envie ?

Aimons-nous; le bonheur de tous nous y convie;
C’est-là le seul remède à nos communs malheurs.
La terre but assez et de sang et de pleurs ;
Qu’elle respire enfin, calme, heureuse, ravie !

Chrétiens, réalisons cette fraternité
A laquelle appelait toute l’humanité
Le Sauveur, à la fin d’une agonie amère;
