Rouvre-toi, magique fenêtre,
Où le bonheur vint un instant
Peut-être il reviendra, peut-être...
Je l'appelle et mon cœur l'attend.

Ah ! rouvre-toi, rouvre-toi vite,
Voici venir la fin du jour,
L'heure où mon cœur se précipite
Vers l'appât d'un céleste amour.

Hélas ! sous mes yeux rien ne passe
Que l'ombre lugubre du soir;
Sur mon arbre chéri croasse
Un oiseau blanc tâché de noir.
