tAillières-Beauvoir

Les communes d'Aillières et de Beauvoir ont fusionné en 1965. Aillières-Beauvoir est attesté au XII° siècle dans l'Orderici Vitalis Angligenæ sous la forme Allerias et dans ce passage Castra, id est Allerias. Nous retrouvonsce toponyme entre 1171 et 1191 sous la forme Alleriis. 1594 nous fera connaitre ce toponyme sous son orthographe actuelle avec un Aillières qui est alors fixé.

Beauvoir est attesté en l'an 1149 avec un Ecclesia Sancte Margarite de Bello Videre. Nous le retrouvons en 1274 avec un Parrochia de Bello Visu. Nous le retrouvons en 1667 avec un Beauvoy alors que l'an 1273 nous laissait toujours voir un Belvaer.
