Chapelle Saint Jean

Cette chapelle, ou plutôt ses ruines, sont situées approximativement au centre du nouveau village. Il s'agit de la plus ancienne construction de la commune; elle semble dater de l'époque carolingienne.

Le vieux village, dont l'occupation remonte à l'Antiquité, s'est dépeuplé au XIX° siècle au profit du nouveau village dont la situation était plus confortable que l'ancien village perché à 770m. Construit autour de la motte castrale, il présente quelques restes de remparts et voit la présence de l'église dédiée à Sainte Marie-Madeleine. La montée pédestre vers le Vieil Aiglun est aisée et le panorama sur la vallée de la Bléone est remarquable...
