Agnières, que l'on retrouve encore orthographié Agnères en 1907, est attesté en 1131 dans le cartulaire du prieuré Saint-Chilian d'Aubigny-en-Artois sous la forme Enier. Nous le retrouvons sous la forme Anhiers en l'an 1187 dans le cartulaire des chapellenies d'Arras.
