Il décèdera le 21-11-1914 à Douai ; il avait 34 ans.

Mort pour la France en 1914-1918, mort de ses blessures de guerre, il était soldat de 2° classe au 159° Régiment d'Infanterie.

Lors de son incorporation militaire, il était cultivateur.
